movies with the family :)

So this weekend was a long one yay!! Anyways, I went to the movies with my mom and sister and went to see "Percy Jackson and The Sea of Monstrous". Which was a good movie but, I thought the book was much better. In my opinion, it wasn’t that good comparing it with the first movie which was AMAZING. I really thought it was going to be more entraining. Of course it had its funny and sad moments, but I thought it could've had so much better than it really was. It also has to do with the fact that it is an adaption of a book series in which they’d have to cut out some details from the book for the benefit of those who haven’t got the chance to read them. But at the end of the day it is a good movie to watch and enjoy. Just don’t expect to be blown away by anything spectacular and also watch the first movie which is “Percy Jackson and The Lighting Thief” before watching this one because if not you will be very lost as to they bring up some topics from the previous film. There were also a few other movies I would like to watch like: “Immortals Instruments: City of Bones”, “We are The Millers” and “Elysium”. They seem like very entertaining films from what the trailers show. I’ll let you all know when I get the chance so go to the theater again. BYE, enjoy what’s left of the weekend.

  1. Books are usually much better than the movie they are based on. Most of the time, the film leaves out those little details that make it more entertaining. I enjoy movies when they are not based on novels. ~~LMM

  2. I thought it was good, I mean, if you compare that movie with the first one is the closest one to the books. Also, the movie had a plus that we enjoy calling Logan Lerman (prettiest man on earth, after the Back Street Boys). Sometimes I forgot what I was watching cause I was staring at him.
I do think all the Kronos part was weird and the wanted to make somethings so cool that they where over the top. I did wanted to see the sirens and that Grover got lost because he was looking for the god Pan and not because Luke's army "kidnapped" him.

  3. I agree, book are usually better. But what I usually do is I go see the movie, and THEN read the book. Weird, huh? I do this because after seeing the movie, I can visualize the book better. It really works for me. I saw Elysium, which I thought lacked action, and now I want to see "The Family". It looks like fun!
